Find Balance: Eat the Donut
Stop thinking about it, just eat the donut! Eating carbs don't make you overweight, overeating processed carbs make you overweight.
There's no secret weapon to losing weight and keeping it off. The key is finding balance by limiting the amount of processed foods you eat vs eating mostly plant based most of the time.
Processed food is anything that you can't find naturally in the environment and when eating mostly plant based, its anything that you can find naturally in the environment like fish, meat, veggies, nuts and fruits.
So when in doubt, just eat the donut. One will not make you fat or derail all that progress you've made. Find balance, eat in moderation and listen to your body because it knows best.
