Spicy Watermelon Margarita

Cheers to one of my favorite holidays of the year - Cinco de Mayo! I feel like you can’t celebrate the day without a margarita, so I thought what better way to get the party started than one of my favorite margaritas I’ve been making for years .. The Spicy Watermelon Margarita! It’s made with only 4 ingredients and if you don’t like it spicy, it’ll be only 3 ingredients. This is so refreshing on a hot day and I can guarantee this margarita will be on repeat all summer long. You can make it frozen or on the rocks, both equally as good and super refreshing - hope you enjoy!

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 1/2 Small Watermelon

  • 8 Limes (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 cup Blanco Tequila

  • optional 1/2 Jalapeño (sliced and de-seeded OR leave the seeds if you’re feeling spicy)

  • optional: salted rim (either Tajin or Trader Joe’s Chili Lime)

Steps:

  1. Chop watermelon and place into a blender. Blend on high for 30s or until smooth. Once finished, strain the watermelon juice into a seperate cup

  2. In a shaker, add jalapeño, watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and ice

  3. Pour into a glass, garnish with a watermelon wedge and a de-seeded jalapeño

Hope you enjoy, wishing you a safe and amazing day!!!
