How to Make a Spicy Blood Orange Skinny Margarita

How to Make a Spicy Blood Orange Skinny Margarita

Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe how refreshing this simple spicy blood orange margarita turned out yesterday for Cinco de Mayo! It’s made with simple, real ingredients which takes this margarita to another level! My version is made without any sweetner, however if you feel like it may need it to satisfy your taste buds feel free to add in the sweetener of your choice like agave, monk fruit, etc. I hope you get to enjoy this amazing cocktail soon and can’t wait to hear what you think!

Ingredients: (Makes 1 Drink)

  • 1 fresh squeezed large blood orange or 2 medium blood oranges

  • 1 fresh squeezed lime, plus an extra sliced for a garnish

  • 2 ounces tequila blanco

  • 1 jalapeño sliced, you’ll need 2-4 slices for the shaker plus an extra for garnish

  • 1 large basil leaf or 3 small leaves

Directions:

  1. Add basil and sliced jalapeño to a shaker then muddle

  2. Add the blood orange, lime, tequila and ice then shake

  3. Pour over ice and garnish with lime, sliced jalapeño and salted rim if you like
