Monday Motivation: Make This Week Your Beach!
I am all about things in moderation and enjoying life to its fullest. This past week, you could definitely say that I enjoyed life to its fullest. It was not only my birthday, but it was also some of my closest friend's birthdays. What a blast! I can't thank all of my family and friends enough for everything!
Holidays are such a great time, but sometimes too great a time. It can be very easy to feel guilty about eating or drinking too much, but you know what, we're all human and there's absolutely no reason to feel guilty. What really matters is how you bounce back and this week we're doing just that! We're going to make this week our's and not let anything stop us! So, you with me?!
Here’s what we're going to do:
- Kombucha - This week, every morning replace the coffee with a kombucha. It has so many vitamins and minerals, plus super refreshing! You'll have all the energy without the crash of coffee, not to mention a boost to your metabolism.
- Hydrate - We're going to drink 100oz of water per day. I know it can definitely seem overwhelming, so we're going to break it up by drinking 20oz with each meal / snack. Drinking 100oz of water will flush out all the toxins and bring balance back to your body.
- Veggie Overload - Every day this week, get at least 10 servings of veggies per day (one serving equals a half cup chopped veggies). To break it up, for breakfast have 2 servings, lunch have 3 servings and dinner have 5 servings.
- Workout - Workout 5 days this week. To keep it interesting, split up the days between strength and cardio. Do your strength training on Monday / Wednesday / Friday and do cardio on Tuesday / Thursday. This way you burn the most amount of calories and retain your muscle. Click here for workout ideas!
