What To Eat Before Your Morning Workout
Instead of drinking a pre-workout, I prefer to eat my pre-workout. When eating food before a workout, it delivers a much higher nutritional value as opposed to the leading pre-workout powders which have little to no nutritional value and very high in caffeine. I recommend eating your food between 30-90 minutes to allow your body to digest it and use it as energy for your workout. Choose foods that are light and easily digestible and have a good source of good fat, carbohydrates and protein. Three of my favorite foods to eat before my morning workout are: Avocado Toast, Almond Butter Toast and Oatmeal.
Avocado Toast, topped with Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Slice of Dave's Killer Bread (Power Seed)
- 1/2 of an Avocado
- 1/4 of a Lemon
- Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
- Pinch of Sea Salt and Black Pepper
Oatmeal, topped with Granola and Blueberries
- 1/4 Cup Oats
- 3/4 Cup Water
- 1 Tablespoon of Granola
- 1/4 Cup Blueberries
I hope that you have great start to your morning with a well-balanced and easily digestible meal like the ones I shared. If you have any questions regarding nutrition or personal training, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment below.
Have the best day and the most amazing workout!
